Can I disable the wireless feature on my modem?

BEC 7300N (three antenna) *If your modem has two antennas, scroll down to the BEC 7800TN guide*

Make sure your computer is directly connected to your modem with an ethernet cable (the yellow cord that came with your modem)

Open your internet browser and clear the address bar at the top. Type the modem's IP address, 192.168.1.254 as shown below, then press Enter on your keyboard



A window requesting a login will appear. Type the word admin (all lowercase) in both the username and password fields, and click OK or Login



Click WLAN on the left side of the screen



Select Disable at the top as shown, then click Apply at the bottom



Click Save Config at the bottom of the screen



Click Apply



In a moment you will see the status screen. Once you are there, you can close your browser window

Your computer can be connected with a cable or to the currently enabled wireless network. Follow the first two steps from the guide above.

Once you are logged into the modem, click on Wireless on the left



Click the box next to Enable to remove the check mark, then click Apply at the bottom. Once the page refreshes, you can close the browser window
